Why other tools require signup
Email + account = a sales lead. Veed, Kapwing and Clideo are venture-funded — they need to convert free trials into $20–30/month subscriptions. The signup gate is how they capture you for the email funnel.
BurnSub is funded by ads, not subscriptions
Because BurnSub doesn't sell a Pro tier, there's no marketing reason to make you sign up. The tool is free, supported by Google AdSense, built by a solo developer.
What about saving my work?
Your video stays on your device — that's already the safest place to save it. Subtitle styles can be saved as shareable permalinks: a single URL contains every style setting, no account required. Bookmark the URL or share it in Discord — that's your saved style.
Can I save my edits without an account?
Yes — three ways:
- Style permalinks — every subtitle style has its own URL you can bookmark.
- Recipe export — download a tiny
.jsonfile with your full style config and re-import later. - Browser local storage — your last 5 styles persist between visits, on your device only.
Privacy
